Pick on Someone Your Own Age

in Southern’s 2006 Tennis Challenge!

 

Many adult and senior tennis players have never enjoyed the challenge and competition of playing in an age division tournament. 

 

There are hundreds of age division tournaments held in our section each year.  Over 14,000 age division tournament matches were played in 2005. Age divisions include every five years (25,30,35,40,45,50,55,60,65,70,75,80,85,90) in singles, doubles, mixed doubles (and family doubles such as husband/wife, father/son, mother/daughter).

 

All of the sanctioned tournaments count towards a state ranking and many count towards a sectional or national ranking.  So if you keep complaining about having to play those “hard bellies” or “whippersnappers” it’s time to pick on someone your own age! 

 

As an added incentive, the USTA Southern Section will hold a drawing to win a 2006 US Open Trip for two (airfare, two nights lodging, and tickets for two for two sessions) for all USTA members who play in an age division tournament by June 15, 2006 and did not hold an age division state, sectional or national ranking in singles, doubles, mixed doubles or family doubles in 2005.

 

If you needed a new reason to work on your game, here it is! Go for a RANKING in 2006!

 

To submit your entry into the drawing, email your name, USTA # and name of age division event you played in to: Sherman@sta.usta.com by July 15th, 2006.
