Subject: 2003 Mixed Doubles Season

The Mixed Doubles 2003 Captains’ Meeting will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2003 at Lexington County Tennis Center. It is very important that each team be represented. League information and packets will be obtained at this time.

We are enclosing a Pre-Registration Form for you to complete and bring to the Captains’ Meeting to obtain your packet. Packets will not be mailed.

League fee is $10 per player, Adult and Senior, plus a $2.00 user fee for TennisLink.

A player may play on two adult teams at different levels and two senior teams at different levels – i.e., 6.5 and 7.5. Should teams advance to State Championship, player will have to choose which team to advance with in Adult League and which team to advance with in Senior League. (See 2003 Mixed Doubles Regulations on League Website and in Captain’s Packet).

A player may NOT play out of his area without approval. (See Mixed Doubles State Regs, Eligibility, f.)

HOME TEAM is responsible for court fees, if applicable, and balls. Check with facility you wish to play out of to confirm court availability during league season. Do not assume you will be allowed to play out of a facility – you must have approval from the facility prior to signing up your team.

Third set tie break will be played at City Championships but not in local play. Information regarding the City Championships will be available later from your level coordinator and on the web.

If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you do not plan to be a captain this summer, please pass this information along to someone who will. Every team must be represented at this meeting.
